Getting outside to enjoy a beautiful warm day with your dog not only gets you closer to the nature but also helps you keep fit. In this post we are going to suggest some of the most recommended outdoor activities you can do with your dog.

Walking This is one of the most known lifetime sports. I mean everyone is doing it, more or less. Walking for half an hour a day, for at least five days a week, you can lower the risk of high blood pressure, diabetes and heart diseases. Walking your dog will help you improve your fitness and health form incomparably. Owning a dog is an excellent trick to incorporate walking into your life. This activity is good for your bone health, as well for your dogs.

Jogging Jogging is one of the oldest and most popular outdoor activities. You can choose to be a morning or afternoon jogger to arrange time for this exercise. If you go too fast, you can face medical problems with your muscles and joints. Jogging is popular since it brings the joggers with countless benefits, including losing weight, better mental health, healthier muscle development.

Hiking It is believed that hiking makes you happier and healthier. If you are a nature lover, you'll enjoy what hiking brings. Hiking requires minimal equipment. You'll need only a good pair of shoes and it's even better if you have your dog as a companion. Hiking frees you from daily stress, reduces depression and provides you with better quality sleep. Before hiking with your dog, you should make sure you carry the needed equipment. Most hikers will take a backpack to carry water, hiking boots and also the dog shoes when they decide to hike with their dogs. Like jogging, you should start small first.

Water Sports Most dogs love water. If you live near a beach or a lake, you'll definitely have fun moments playing water sports with your dogs. Surfing is a water sport you can let your dog play with you. However dog surfing requires training. If your dog can not surf, take him to go swimming with you.
