After the physical examination, an assistant leads you to another room to wait while the doctor studies the findings. Then the doctor returns and discusses your condition and recommends the best course of action. Keep in mind that not all pain is an indication of needed surgery.

The most important thing to remember is to seek medical attention at the first signs of pain. Prolonged usage of a limb or back often creates a much worse situation. Call to set up an appointment and have a friend provide transportation if you are unable to drive safely.
