Rome is built on a rich heritage that encompasses arts, architecture, and Christianity. In ancient times, the boundaries of the city spanned across three continents which may explain the diversity of some attractions found in town. The town has various districts which may overwhelm a visitor taking a vacation here for the first time. Trying to see all that the city has to offer within a single visit would be a folly which is why visitors are usually advised by locals to throw a coin in the Fountain of Levi since popular belief has it that whoever does this will return again. If one is hoping to have a peek into the history of the city, in a nutshell, the National Roman Museum should be the first place one should visit. Artifacts that go back centuries can be found within the walls of this museum. It also showcases the heritage of the ancient people through the centuries.

If one wants to take a walk in the cool sun, the Piazza del Popolo offers tourists exactly that. This architecture marvel is supported by columns and is surrounded by lots of beautifully sculpted art.

For history buffs, the place to visit is the Colosseum which was built centuries ago; this building is a testament to the skill of ancient Romans. In this arena, bloody gladiator wars were fought while the nobles watched for amusement. To enjoy a visit to this building one should book ahead to avoid the long queues that can be found as people seek tickets.

Within the city walls, little traffic is permitted making the roads within ideal for long walks. Roman roads are often interconnected and are almost always lined with sculptures from maestros of past. One can enjoy a lovely walk with their partner under the silent gazes of sculpted cherubs and angels.

One can also walk into a cafe and sample some delicious cuisines on offer. The fresh seafood and exquisite Italian meals can be enjoyed atop balconies as one enjoys the beautiful view provided by the town below them. An individual can also shop for presents in the numerous stalls that can be found along the roads.

Rome Italy is a magical city whose beauty cannot be put in words. To experience it, an individual has to travel to the place. Planning ahead for a visit will help an individual ensure that they do not miss out on all the major fun experiences in such a city.
