Quilt Baby Patterns And Crochet Baby Blanket

By Darren Hartley

Every baby deserves to have his own quilt or blanket made out of baby quilt patterns. Through his early years, this quilt can be taken with him wherever he goes. In his teenage years, he can look at it and reminisce about his baby days with fondness.

A baby quilt should always be made of natural fibres and of course, baby quilt patterns, as a general rule. Because they contain less irritants and chemicals, 100% cotton is an ideal fabric. These chemicals can potentially annoy or aggravate the sensitive skin of a baby.

When designing a baby quilt, thought must be given to the color and baby quilt patterns to be used. When choosing colors to mix together in the quilt, it is best to remember that the quilt will be used a lot and get very dirty at countless times. This would require the quilt to be washed very often if not daily.

A multicoloured crochet baby blanket can be a real showstopper. However, before embarking on a crocheting exercise involving this variegated skein of yarn, be warned that choosing the right project could be the hardest part of the whole regimen. There are tips, though, that can help in overcoming this crafter's block and help in finding the yarn muse to work with.

As long as it is for a crochet baby blanket, there are no downsides to the use of multicoloured yarn. Other than the freedom it affords a crafter in adding multiple colors in her work without the need of weaving in more ends than necessary, its bright variegations spell fun in child-sized garments.

Managing color changes in making a crochet baby blanket can be a task in itself. A stitch pattern can get lost in a relatively short color change in the yarn, particularly when it appears as if each new stitch is in a different color.
