There are a variety of wild edibles for sale in the market today that you do not have to go to the wilderness to find it. It has also become an ingredient that serves as the foundation of some of the most known recipes in the world.

The good thing about these wild plant species is that they are rich in vitamins which the body requires to function properly. The only thing that will pose as a challenge for you if you are alone in the wild is the fact that you need to know which are the edible ones. There are also poisonous species and you have to be careful and avoid this.

For you to be safe in choosing which specie to eat there are a few general guidelines. One of which is to not go for plants that gives off a milky textured sap. There are also those who have fine hairs or thorns in the stem, it would be best to avoid it too. You should also be wary of several beans as they are not very beneficial for your anger as well. But you need to know that these do not apply to every plant out there.

Dandelions are a joy to look at when it grows and blooms. You should not be scared when your little one tries to pop one in their mouths because they are edible. The leaves are particularly nutritious. Go for the young sprouts so that you consume it raw.
