Some other ingredients would include sliced onions and as well fillings such as diced ham, cheese, and bell peppers.

The masala omelette is made with some spices which may vary depending on regions. But before the eggs are whisked, very common ingredients are added first and these are cumin, chopped green chilis, coriander leaf or powder, chopped onions, and turmeric. The tomato omelette is considered also as one though it does not contain any eggs.

Tamagoyaki is a type where in eggs are being beaten with soy sauce, sugar, water, mirin, and bonito flakes. This is cooked in a rectangular pan. A thin layer of the mixture is cooked first and it is rolled up using a pair of chopsticks, forming a sausage shape. Another layer is added and rolled up again with the first roll, thus, placing it at the center.
