7 Reasons You Should Visit Sault Ste Marie

Most people like traveling during holidays and vacations because this is the time they can spend with families and friends. However, some may be afraid to spend while others keep on circulating the same destinations. If you are going on vacation this year, it is good to make a difference. Take your family to a town they have never visited before. If the budget is higher, start saving extra cash early. This way, your family will have new experiences, and you will create stronger bonds and new memories. If you have never been to Sault Ste Marie, below are some reasons why you must go there this year.

When you arrive at this town, you may be confused because of the many places you need to visit. However, you can start by touring the ACWP Park that is located one hundred and eighty kilometers away from the city. You will travel by train and come across the Montreal River trestle. This trestle is 1500ft long and 130ft high. Also, in the park, there will be more sites to see.

This town has 300 campsites and a three-kilometer beach. While camping in one of the campgrounds, you can swim in the Caribbean waters that are very inviting. Also, some bays and places have warm water that you can swim in. Thus, if you have already visited the ACWP, you can spend the next day swimming.

If you love road trips, this is the perfect place to have one. If you left your vehicle behind, you can hire one and go for a road trip. The winding roads, rugged mountains, warm breezes, and the pristine blue coastline will make the trip more enjoyable. Also, you will see so many other sites on the way.

Also, there are hiking trails that hikers can follow if they wish to hike. The most common trail runs for approximately six kilometers. While hiking, be sure that you will come across river rapids and cascading waterfalls. Also, you will pass through the bank of Pingusibi River. There is a canoe route in this river that you can also decide to explore.

Walking around the city is also another way you can spend your afternoon. Besides window shopping, you can visit historic parks and other exciting parts of this town. There are walking routes that you can take to these areas. The St. Marys River is also one of the best places to walk along.

Like many towns, this one also has its own history. Thus, besides all the fun, you can take the time to learn about the history of the city. There are more than one heritage centers you can visit and learn a thing or two about the town. Also, the historic canals are interesting to see.

When you have decided to visit this town, make sure you have set aside enough money to facilitate the trip. Also, avoid asking native to tell you about the city as you may be disappointed. Explore on your own and marvel at the sites that your town does not have.
