Planning a unique wedding, with fun reception party ideas is sometimes difficult, especially if planning on a budget. Some people opt for a full dinner for their guests, and others serve cake, party favors and drinks. One extremely fun party idea that can be customized to colors and themes is wedding popcorn.

Even once couples have decided on the type of favors they will have to thank their guests, there are still a multitude of decisions to make. The bar will need to be styled to theme and colors. There are many ways to present the treats and doing so in a way that is not only classy, but customized to the bride and groom is a must.

One of the first decisions the couple will make is if they will buy the popcorn already made or do it themselves. Some couples choose to do it themselves after receiving costs involved. Organizing their own bar not only allows for cost savings, but also allows for personalization and creativity buying it from a service or shop does not.

Planning is essential when couples decide to make it themselves. Getting others in on the process will save time and effort, and will allow for new ideas and input. Think about having servers. This will add a touch of class.

There are a multitude of gourmet recipes, that include Carmel balls, mixes with candy covered white nuts, m & m, mini chocolate kisses, or mini dark or white chocolate covered pretzels. There is also sour cream, spicy, spicy hot, cheesy, but choosing the types that are perfect for themes is a must. For instance if the dress is frilly and white, with classic colors, vintage or fantasy based, white chocolate mixes and candy treats, along with Carmel or strawberry, vanilla, or other such flavors.

The theme will heavily determine what kind is chosen. For instance if choosing a rock star, an Asian or Hawaiian theme, spicy or fruity is a good choice. Consider packaging also. How the treats are packaged and presented will affect the overall mood of the party. Some important considerations are if there will be servers, and if buffet style will be chosen instead.

Packaging can be ordered online or purchased at some bridal or party shops. A few ideas might include purchasing elegantly scalloped bags, with thank you on the boxes, containing a mix in elegant lace bags with ribbons tied at the top. These would be placed at each guest's seat.

Champagne classes at a buffet bar is another option. Beautiful silver or gold cups could be placed inside with a mix of chocolate and popcorn. The glass can be later used to drink champagne. Other elegant ideas are apothecary jars.

Couples looking for ways to personalize the bar can also use shiny bags with pictures of the bride and groom and their names. The bag could also include a slogan such as "thank you for being part of our wedding day." No matter what kind of display couples choose, choosing to include wedding popcorn will create a personal style unique to the couple.
