Hazards That Tanning Sun Has

By Veronica Cappelletti

The effects of ultraviolet rays are increasing day by day. Those affected are the only living evidence of sunbathing. This, to some, does not matter and they have gone ahead practicing the same. Thus, all should be made aware of the dangers of Tanning Sun.

Basking gives one an opportunity to get vitamin D. However; the disadvantages that arise from this are left untold. This calls for everyone to beware of all this so as to prevent this problems from recurring. These effects are accelerated by the fact that the ozone layer is becoming smaller. This makes the holes to keep on fluctuating.

For a long time now, people have been able to tan their skin naturally. There are two types of rays that fall on the surface of the earth. The ultraviolet radiation is the most known. It is also the main cause behind achievement of the tan. This effect is mostly experienced on the lower sections of human skin.

This is by stimulating the melanomas to produce melanin, a skin pigment. The melanin that is produced during this time is what causes the tan. This process takes some bit of time. That is the very reason why one can not achieve a tan within a day. To get the melanomas, it takes one about two days or so. After that, the melanin production takes place within a few hours. When one gets used to this process, it takes around seven consecutive days to achieve the final desired results.

The harmful side of basking has a greater effect than the advantages. These effects are determined by some factors. The best known is the time that one is exposed. Longer exposure may cause blisters, burns or swellings. Finally one might fall sick.

One may get skin cancer. Once infected, it would take a very long time to heal. Hence, nobody would even want to think of contracting it, leave alone seeing someone who has the disease. Those with pale skins are more likely to get it.

It also causes quicker aging of the skin. This makes one to have a series of wrinkles. This happens because the collagen, which is a constituent of your skin, gets damaged. The state is irreversible and hence one has to avoid it at all due costs. This may be prevented by use of sunscreens.

When summer approaches, everyone desires to go outside to bask. This is not a problem if it is done once in a while. To some, it has become a complete addiction. Some are not aware of the effects, while others are very much informed but tend to give a cold shoulder over the issue. This has raised the concerns of several dermatologists.

With this information, one should be well informed. One must learn to make the right choices. This is especially when it comes to Tanning Sun.
