When referring to first aid kits the first thought is a collection of basic medical supplies that are required to offer emergency assistance. Different kits server different purposes and therefore vary in content. More advanced kits that are used by emergency responders are generally referred to as trauma kits. These are more advanced medical emergency kits that contain support equipment designed to manage bleeding, will contain mouth barriers for conducting CPR and some essential medicines.

Dispensing kits are small cabinet kits mounted on walls. The contents are well packed in special boxes with perforations the top. It usually holds a large number of items compared to most other kits. First kits are not necessarily meant for medical experts. The content to be kept in these types of kits depends on the intended use of it. The first responder and first aid kits can be custom made to be carried quickly to the wounded. Specialized first aid kits are often available with various emergency supplies all made to fit a unique situation. First aid kits and trauma kits require efficiency and knowledge about the casualty that may arise and should contain a first aid book or you may need to add one.

It is easy to purchase first aid supplies or a trauma kit on the web as many companies specialized in all types of emergency kits. It is wise to have suitable kits accessible while you are at work, at home and on the move in your transport or bag.
