Designs For Star Wars And Rose Tattoos

By Darren Hartley

Star Wars is known by almost everyone around the world. Being a very popular film, it has introduced many characters who have become instant favourites among its many followers. These followers have great affection to whichever character they become attached to and show it by inking his image in his body in the form of Star Wars tattoos.

The huge variety of Star Wars tattoos out there has neutralized the geek value of each design when taken individually. This, however, is not the case for the combination of a Classic Star Wars icon with the queen of cartoon kitties. This particular design crossed the line and made it to the list of ultimate geekdom.

The focal point to Star Wars tattoos are most frequently than not either Darth Vader or Anakin Skywalker. Because of the increasing clamour for these tattoos, contests are even being held just to find the best designs for them. These contests have come out with designs that are not bad at all, submitted by fans who are not afraid of showing their devotion to the saga by going under the needle.

For centuries, rose flowers have been favoured subjects for artists in paintings. For this reason, it is not at all a surprise that rose tattoo designs have become one of the most chosen themes for both men and women. Known not only for their beauty, these tattoos are also popular for the symbolic meanings they convey.

It is in the color of rose tattoo designs that one finds a variation in the meanings they convey. Red roses are always associated with love, beauty and romantic love. Yellow roses offer joy and friendship to their beholders. Dark red roses say that its wearer is unconscious of his beauty. Black roses are expressions of mourning over the death of a loved one.

When rose tattoo designs are combined with other objects, the meaning they symbolize changes drastically because of the integration of the two images. These designs are popular among the westerners as the lotus is famous in the east. These two flowers share a lot of meanings in the world of body art. The rose is believed to be originally colored white by the Greeks until it was turned to red by Aphrodite, the goddess of love.
