Drive through food options

By George Dodson

You're definitely familiar with drive through restaurants if you're into watching old films such as "Happy Days" and if you've been born on the early 60's. Back then, these were pretty much a hype. Waiters back then were usually girls and they were called "Car hops". Each of these "car hops" wore their own respective uniforms or costumes whenever they're on service. To get the food to the customers faster, some wore skates.

Simply stop your car near the "carp hop" window and let her take your order. Your order will then soon arrive on a special tray that is hooked on your car window. You'd consume the food and put the trash run on the tray, on the horn, and the car hop would come and retrieve your tray. Drive throughs were basically used in most of the beach boy movie settings and a few establishments went very famous because of this.

Most of these drive-in serve fast food such as burgers, fries, and some soft drinks such as Coke or Pepsi. A few drive throughs were able to come up with innovations on their menu like the grilled cheese sandwich and the special orders for chicken.
