Gothic Engagement Rings

By Raymond Hugh

I'm hardly the authority on gothic engagement rings, but back in the day, I hung out on the edge of the goth scene for a short time. I went through a couple of months in a haze of dark eye-liner, fishnet stockings, and enjoying The Cure......but I digress.

Gothic engagement rings can vary from looking classy to looking shocking. It's how you want it...duh...it's your engagement ring. You may choose a somewhat more traditional ring if you must camouflage your gothness during your daily 9 to 5 occupation. If your gothness involves every aspect of your daily routine, then go all out and get whatever your dark heart wishes.

Google this site: "Dragonweave Jewelry" for a few ideas for gothic engagement rings: Some of the rings to look out for are:

-Ringband of Life and Death: A shiny pewter ring band with reversible script. In one direction, the gothic lettering reads "life" but if you flip the same word shows "death". An interesting note of the relationship between these two constrasting. How appropriate for the union of two people till death do them part.

- Deus Et Natura Ring: This gothic ring represents the triumphant harmony of Nature and The Creator. The solid bronze central band reads "Deus Et Natura No Faciunt Frusta", which is Latin for "God and Nature do not work together in vain." The pewter edge is inscribed with "Nature will always win through."

If you want something more pricey/classy, check out Fay Cullen antique engagement rings on the web: These rings have a bit of a gothic feel to them but won't shock anyone. Just like people in the goth scene though, these rings are splendidly beautiful.

Is a gothic engagement ring not enough? You like the ceremony and reception to have the goth look?

As a jewelry enthusiast, however, it is necessary to confirm the quality and grade jewelry you are paying for. Top brands like Chrome Hearts has competitors who produce Best grade alternatives and close replicas by real jewelers to mass-manufacturing conveyor-belt producers who churn out third grade imitations made from low-grade metals such as aluminium and Zinc.
