There are various kinds of nuts and one of these are the cashew nuts. Traditionally, roasted cashews are tasty delicacies native to Brazil and South America although it is not that appreciated here in United States. These nutmeat can be described in three things, first it is shaped like a kidney, second it looks like a the alphabet c, third it is earthy in color and taste. Beneficially, these kernels are filled with good fats which can help keep the heart healthy and disease free.

The oil and fatty acids that can be acquired from the nut are said to be comparable with what people can get from olive oil. These are said to be rich in Omega 3 that it is usually suggested by doctors for diabetic patients to consume. Paired with a low fat diet, it can help decrease the risk of having heart disease due to diabetes complications.

The nut also contains copper that is important in many bodily functions such as free radicals elimination, tissue and bone development, utilization of iron, and melanin production. Furthermore, copper found in cashew kernels is responsible for body energy, antioxidant defenses, and provides flexibility in blood and bones. Consequently, low intake of copper can cause radical production in the colon that can contribute to its cancer.

If Calcium plays a significant role for bone strength and development, Magnesium is about two third of the human body. Some of these elements in the body are found in most bone structures while some are lying above bones as reserve in any case the body needs them. Speaking of Magnesium this too can be acquired from the said nut.

Magnesium deficiency on the other hand causes contraction in the nerves. This can severely lead to high blood pressure, migraines, fatigue, and muscular cramps. This is why most doctors would suggest taking supplements to reduce PMS pains, asthma effects, and the pain of migraines.

Cashew kernels are also good in reducing the chances of gallstones building up according to a study that collected data on eighty thousand women. According to the study, it would be healthy to consume at least one ounce of kernels every week. Moreover, these crops are also recommended for people wishing to lose weight.
