Want to Save Your Health using 10,000 Steps

We all desire to be as healthy as we are able to be but we do not always have time that we need to get in all of the exercise that is required to be so. This is the reason that health experts are encouraging people to adopt the ten thousand step method. The ten thousand step method is founded on the idea that walking ten thousand steps every day can help you get healthy-that it helps cut down on the amount of time you need to spend at the gym. Walking is really a brilliant and low impacting exercise. How often have you heard "even a walk round the block everyday can save your life"?



Obviously, getting in ten thousand steps day after day is going to be challenging. That's lots of steps to take! The very good news is that you almost certainly already take most of those steps each day already and don't know it yet. What you might want to do is figure out how to include several more thousand steps to get to the goal. So how do you make it happen without resorting to merely taking walks back and forth all day long?

Increasing the step count can be done easily employing these obvious methods. One typical example of this can be climbing the stairs instead of taking an elevator or escalator. Parking at the far end in the parking lot is also recommended at the mall or the store. To further this plan, you might also remain parked in a single spot and walk your shopping bags out to the car as you accumulate them-instead of carting them all over the shopping center as you run your errands. Taking public transit also can raise your step count as you have to walk to your bus or train stop and then back home instead of just walking to your car. And, obviously, taking a simple walk each day is a great way to increase your step count.

You could also improve the volume of steps you take by using some less than apparent methods. Organize a grocery store grocery list differently. Most individuals will write out a grocery list according to the aisles in the stores. You could decide to order your list based on category just like meat, product and dairy. Then go shopping in accordance with the order in the list. Sure you may end up running back and forth through the store but it's great for taking extra steps every day. Instead of having a mail box as part of your door or attached to the house, install it on a post close to the curb. This may create at least one or two dozen steps to your count when you check the mail everyday.

There can be a lot of ways of build your step count. As you become familiar with the idea of walking 10,000 steps a day you'll think of fantastic ways to get to this goal faster. The nice thing is that all of the steps you take each day count-walking to the fridge, the copy machine to and from your car-they all matter for your goal. Have fun with it!
