Making Food For The Dinner Date

By George Dodson

For sure you also long to find that one person that is meant only for you. At last you've found them and it is already time to set up your first date. The first date is special because you have agreed to cook a meal. Hence, you will need to make a decision what to cook.

Before heading out to the supermarket to buy the ingredients of your meal, you need to make a few considerations. First, you need to know that its not a date at the restaurant. An expert will also not be the one preparing your meal. Relax and stay calm. Have a fixed decision which to cook, the necessary ingredients as well as spices and others.

Another thing to consider is that you should focus on a quality time on your first date. Having to know what the other persons' likes with regard to food is a must. You can also learn what their favorite restaurant is. Be sure to find out what it is they don't like. For sure, you wouldn't want the other person not eating for a dinner date just because he or she doesn't like the food. You can be direct, or you can be subtle. Open the topic about food and carefully ask what he or she dislikes.

You can also think of a meal that both of you can simply prepare or cool. Have a definite plan regarding this idea. Through this, you'll be able to guarantee an enjoyable cooking experience to you and to the other person. You can use your creativity here. There's some meals which are delicious yet simple to make. A few of which are sushi as well as vegetable salads.

You can ask your special other to bring something. He or she can bring an appetizer, dessert or even a good tasting wine. You can ask them to bring a thing that can prolong the conversation. Having to bring the right items to your date helps you avoid awkward moments and a boring environment.

A meal that is easy to consume is also essential. You'll want something preferably that tends to stir conversation. Besides, the cooking is only a cover up for you to get to know each other better.

Consider little dishes. Set up your dishes with things like pickles, meats, cheese, pita breads and others. That is actually quite an interesting meal. You both doing the same thing in preparing whatever it is you going to eat.

Of course, you shouldn't also try a meal that is hard to prepare or takes too long to make. You want to have plenty of time to talk and get to know this other person. Involving that person in the preparation of whatever you're cooking tends to avoid this problem as you can converse while you're cooking.

Finally remember that dating is about getting to know someone. The food is merely a tool to get to know each other better. If things don't go exactly the way you want them to don't sweat it. You'll have something to talk about. If you know your priorities in the date then things will end up fine.
