General Information About Paulownia Trees And Other Trees In General

By Harriett Crosby

Paulownia trees feature among the best and oldest trees around the world. The term tree has several definitions. Under botany biologists define them as perennial plants with branches, trunks, and supporting leaves. Under special cases the definition of a tree is limited to woody plants or plants of a certain height. Bananas, bamboo, palms, and ferns are included in the broader definition of trees.

Plants have varying lifespan some live up to a thousand years while some are seasonal. They grow to varying heights. The tallest existing tree is believed to be 379 feet, which is equivalent to 115.6 meters. It is assumed that plants can only attain a maximum height of 130 meters or 426 feet. They are among the earliest living things to have existed on the Earth. They are approximated to have been on the Earth 370 million years back.

These organisms have evolved with time in response to varying environmental conditions and aspects like competition. One observable evolutionary adaptation of trees is increased height. They grow tall because of competition for sunlight and space. Tall plants easily access sunlight, which enable them to photosynthesize unlike short ones. The short ones have modified structures to make sure they survive. They coil on tall trees in order to access sunlight and for support.

Plants grow in big numbers in tropical locations. The tropical has the required growth conditions such as adequate rainfall, fertile soils, and sufficient sunlight. The range of trees is unclear as different species grow in various regions under varying environmental conditions. Botanists are still collecting data and surveying the various species.

A typical tree consists of parts such as branches, trunk or stem, leaves, and roots. Each part has a special function that it serves. The stem or trunk supports the branches. Roots provide support or anchorage as well as absorbing nutrients from the soil. Leaves photosynthesize under sunlight to provide food required for development and growth of the tree.

They play a significant part in reducing erosion, controlling pollution, and moderating the climate. They filter excess carbon (VI) Oxide from the air through carbon the cycle. They retain soil strongly around the roots thus reducing erosion. They are home to birds and a reliable source of fruits. They are used as medicine in treating many illnesses. Some serve as worship places or shrines for different communities.

Plants are currently under threat due to human activities. People are cutting down more vegetation as they as they open up more land for cultivation. They are important to both the environment and humans. The need to conserve plants led to formation of universal organizations whose duty is to educate and encourage people to plant more vegetation. The world environment day is celebrated as a way of reminding people to preserve the environment.

Paulownia trees are grown under the best conditions to increase chances of survival and growth in all types of climate. The tree nurseries in this region are tended to by the best agriculturalists. Professionals in this area conduct enough research to ensure they can adequately deal with all diseases affecting plants. They can be contacted through their websites on the internet.
