By Stan Alderson

Envirotex is the latest reactive polymer compound that delivers reliability and a superior finish that has been developed to last against the harshest elements. It requires a temperature of 70 degrees in order to completely cure into a high gloss over a period of 8 hours. Envirotex Lite - Pour On High Gloss Finish is a unique product that allows for the creation of a deep and beautiful surface layer.

Envirotex has become a popular option for homes and businesses that is available in a 16 and 32 ounce container. It has been developed to assist in resurfacing different material and objects without having to rely on expensive restoration to produce the desired result. For a completely dry and smooth surface, curing takes 48 hours and will produce a hardened texture that delivers maximum shine without being polished.

The specific product can be used on a variety of surfaces and objects including flowers, rocks, dough, styrofoam, painted furnishings, paper, and wood. When a resurface is going to be implemented, simply smooth the product over a clean surface, but prepare with rubbing alcohol if more than one layer is going to be applied. Such waterproof features will be preserved against environmental conditions and serves to enhance its appearance.

When preparing the solution it is important to mix the resin and hardener together in a container with a smooth, flat bottom and walls. Be sure to scrape the sides and the bottom of the container while mixing to prevent against the formation of clumps. If the necessary mixing directions are not followed, the solution will form a soft and sticky texture.

There are safety instructions that must be adhered to including the option to wear goggles and rubber gloves. If a surface area is coated with polyurethane or similar products it must be sanded and cleaned with rubbing alcohol. These areas must not be covered in wax or contaminants and requires additional solution to spread over the object.

The consistency of resin and hardener will have to be measures accordingly. These types of solutions must be prepared in a step by step manner to ensure that it will not cure before it has been applied. A stiff piece of paper and blow torch can be applied to eliminate the presence of bubbles and similar effects.

To cure the product, maintain a room temperature of between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The higher the temperature and controlling dust will allow for faster drying times including the delivery of a glossy surface. Considerations should be made for tooling and procedure that will produce an attractive result.
