Benefits Of Choosing Organic Anti Aging Skin Care Products

By Rose Gill

Both men and women are concerned about the cosmetic effects of aging, but many people do not wish to use chemical based products in their beauty regimen. More and more people are looking for organic anti aging skin care options. There is a general perspective that Mother Nature knows best, and it is more important than ever for consumers to be well educated and informed when choosing the products that they use.

The problems with these chemicals run deeper than simply choosing a healthier option. Most of them utilize cruel, and often unnecessary animal testing before they are put into the market. The scientists who conduct these tests know the products they are testing are toxic, which makes the animal testing even more abhorrent. By spending money on such a product, a consumer is basically stating that they are okay with this practice.

The fact is, most cosmetic and facial care products are made with petroleum-based synthetic chemicals, many of which are known to cause cancer. Aluminum, parabens, petroleum jelly, and formaldehyde are not chemicals that any sane person would smear on their bodies. Many consumers are becoming better informed about the dangers of these additives, and are reading labels and making healthier choices.

The reason this is so important is very simple. Anything used on the body whether it is cosmetics, skin creams, shampoo, or deodorant are absorbed directly into the blood stream. Lip balms, eye creams, and deodorants are the biggest offenders. Human bodies are not designed to process synthetic chemicals, and as such these things build up over time. After a period of many years, this can result in various growths and cancers as the body builds up a store of toxic substances.

Natural products are easily absorbed and processed in the body, and actually promote health and a youthful look to the face. Ingredients such as flowers, fruits, and natural oils are nourishing and provide the body with healthy antioxidants. A good example of this are toners and astringents which use tea as a base rather than alcohol.

It is not only men and women who must consider these issues, but teens are at risk of carcinogenic ingredients as well. Many of the traditional acne treatments are harsh and irritating, not to mention dangerous and unhealthy to absorb into the body. There are a number of cleaners, toners, and serums which are healthy, organic, and not any more expensive than the traditional varieties.

It is the duty of parents to ensure their small children are not exposed, and to educate their teens on the dangers of certain products. It is too easy for children to be lured into pestering a parent for shampoo because of the packaging. Teens are often lured into buying these items through peer pressure or misleading advertisement.

With our bodies constantly exposed to chemicals and toxins in the environment, choosing organic anti aging skin care products can help limit exposure. Not only that, but as consumers everyone votes with their dollars. If natural products are what is purchased the most, then many companies who produce harmful products are pressured into changing their recipes.
