This basically means that the plates close and cause the infant's head to abnormally shape and not grow proportionately. This will not only effect the shape, but also cause severe problems in the future such as mental development and problems with their vision.
Persistent pulmonary hypertension is also a very common Celexa birth defect. This is a disorder which causes the circulatory system of the child to not properly adapt to conditions outside of the woman's womb.
Basically what this does is force the child's blood away from his or her lungs once he or she is born. This makes it very hard to breathe and will usually result in fatality.
If a woman consumes Citalopram during her third trimester, then she increases the danger of her baby developing the above mentioned disorder by six times.
