How To Say Goodbye To Stretchmarks

By Natalgia Rysen

Stretch marks are similar to a scar from a wound. What happens is the skin is stretched by rapid growth like growing tall quickly or gaining weight quickly. All layers of the skin are stretched beyond the physical limitations of the cellular composition of the tissue. The skin and is unable to grow to keep pace. This causes subtotal tearing. It's not a open wound, the internal/external barrier is still intact, although weakened.

Your body reacts for this in a damage control reaction. Simply; Fibroblasts move into the voids left by way of the stretching and crudely start to proliferate to increase the thickness of the barrier to the external surroundings. This is different than normal growth because the cells aren't derived from semi-differentiated stem cells which can be capable of forming more specific cells. The many stem cells are able to form multiple cells of various types and provide an organ like the skin its intricacy. This really is completely different from scarring damage as collagenous fibroblasts duplicate and form cell types of limited intricacy; these are not able to emulate skin that formed in utero.

This 'patch' never fully returns to its original state before the damage. The stem cells and underlying tissues are damaged, missing or both. However, over time the scaring becomes less pronounced as long as additional damage does not occur. These patches also have limited tanning, sensing and protective capacities.

Some topical treatments may increase the "elasticity" of your skin, causing it to pull in on itself more also lowering the size of the scars. If the marks come from rapid weight gain, losing weight may reduce their appearance. Physical exercise generally tends to make tissues more dense and stronger. At present there is no full treatment for stretch-marks. Even so, listed here are 5 tips that you can actually try.

Argan oil - you can test the best argan oil hair products on your stretchmarks and you can watch them burn away. Many argan oil review posts have pointed out how the formulation of argan oil for proper hair care also works wonders on stretch marks.

Cocoa butter - this helps keep the skin elastic. It is more of a preventive solution rather than a stretchmark eliminator.

Laser therapy - if you can afford it and if a reliable clinic is available, laser therapy can definitely help eliminate your scars.

Surgery - in the event you hate stretch-marks so much, you can cut out the afflicted skin and let new skin grow on top of it.

Acceptance - obviously, if you can't afford cures, it is way better to just accept your stretchmarks and wear them as a badge of honor. It is easier this way.
