Acne Myth #1: Acne is due to eating food items

Acne Myth #2: Acne is about dirt or having dirty skin

Acne Myth #3: Washing your face all the time will get rid of acne

This type of pertains to myth #3. Having clean skin is not the answer to preventing acne. Overdoing it as far as washing your face can actually complicate matters. Stripping your skin of oil can lead to future breakouts.

Acne Myth #4: Only teenagers get acne

It's true that 9 out of 10 teenagers experience acne, yet it is also factual that about One in 4 adults understand it also. Acne is apparently linked to hormones which would explain why teenagers have this sort of high incidence of acne, but adults can also be going through hormonal changes at various times inside their lives.

Acne Myth #5: Stress causes acne

Scientific evidence demonstrates stress isn't that large from the factor in acne. It absolutely was believed for quite some time that stress caused bouts of acne nevertheless it simply isn't so.

Acne Myth # 6: Acne can be cured

Many people view acne being a disease that can be permanently cured. Unfortunately, this isn't the problem. Acne can be controlled and prevented through proper skin care, nevertheless it cannot be cured.
