To do this, simply mix a half a teaspoon of salt with 8 ounces of water into a squirt bottle. Then, just use the spray in your nose like you would have with any other nasal spray.

Find an allergen forecast and use it to plan your day. The Weather Channel and some other major outlets provide information about pollen activity and other information about allergens. These forecasts can not only let you know which days are likely to be worst for your symptoms, but they can pinpoint the worst times of day to be outside.

Proper diagnosis is the only real way to implement appropriate treatment, and you can also eliminate other possible causes of bad reactions.

If you enjoy the outdoors but avoid going out because you suffer from allergies, consider spending time outside after the rain. Rain helps minimize the amount of pollen that is found in the air. So you will find the least amount of pollen after a nice rain storm has passed through.

Many people don't realize what a mold haven showers curtains are and forget that they need washing too. Wash your shower curtain frequently, or better yet, look for one that contains an anti-fungal agent.
