Buying A Hookah Might is Not as Easy as it Seems

By John McCree

Selecting a hookah is difficult because all hookahs are not the same. Before choosing a hookah you should have a clear idea of how you will use the hookah. A few questions to guide you in making a good buying decision are:

1. Will I use the hookah often or occasionally?

2. Will I only keep it in my home or will I move it?

3. What size will be more suitable?

4. While not using will I keep it as a decoration or not?

5. How many people will use this hookah in a smoking session?

6. Should the smoking session last long?

7. Have I got a particular design for the hookah in my mind?

By answering the above questions you will have a better idea of the hookah you should buy.

Where Should I Look for a Fine Hookah

You can conveniently find a hookah on the Internet. If you are old school then you can go to a shisha shop. If you go to a shisha shop, you can seek advice from an expert who can help you in selecting a hookah. And then there is the benefit that you can inspect the hookah physically before you purchase it.

If you are a a more experienced hookah smoker, or are fine with not being able to physically check merchandise before buying, you may want to buy a hookah on the internet.

Six Common Hookah Types

While this list isn't all-encompassing, below are a few common types of hookahs to consider, which are ideal for different tastes, uses, and budgets:

1. Egyptian Hookah - The most common type of hookahs made from stainless steel or brass. It isn't very pricey.

2. Syrian Hookah - The hoseport of this kind of hookah has an upward angle. It is a little pricey as compared to the Egyptian hookah.

3. Crystal Hookah - The style of crystal hookah separates it from other kinds of hookahs. These are towards the high budget side and could be used as a piece of decoration in the home.

4. Rotating Hookah - Made from stainless steel, these type of hookahs are best for use by multiple people in one smoking session because of the twisting base, which makes it easier to pass the hose. These hookahs are not pricier than Egyptian hookahs.

5. Mini Hookah - For traveling smokers, or individuals who need to store their hookahs in a place with little space available, mini-hookahs are the way to go, and are generally low-cost.

6. Specialty Hookah - Specialty hookahs are ideal for those who are interested to buy a hookah to suit their unique personality. The price of specialty hookah can range from inexpensive to too expensive. It depends on what you want.

Ensuring You Select Right

Before you make a purchase, you should test out different kinds of hookahs. At the end of the day, whilst all hookahs fundamentally have similar parts and produce a similar result, you might find that particular characteristics create a better smoking experience for you. For example, some users prefer a smaller hookah to a larger hookah as the latter uses more suction to smoke. If you buy a hookah with a larger bowl, your smoking sessions would last longer as it can contain more shisha.

If there are hookah bars near your house, then you should go and spend some time there to see which hookah suits you best. The next hookah you get may end up staying with you forever, so make it a good purchase!
